Step one

Two ways to measure

With thread or paper

Wrap a thin strip of paper or a piece of thread snugly around the base of the finger.

Mark where it overlaps and measure the length in millimetres. That's the inner circumference.

Find the nearest circumference in the chart below.

With a ring that fits

Take a ring that already fits the same finger.

Measure the inside diameter in millimetres, edge to edge, across the widest point.

Find the nearest diameter in the chart below.

Our rings use the Japan / India / China scale, highlighted below. A dash means that system has no equivalent — choose the nearest size up.

Measuring well

If you are between sizes, or buying a wide band, go up one — wide bands sit tighter than thin ones.
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest.
Avoid measuring when your hands are cold — fingers can shrink by a full size.
The ring has to pass the knuckle. Measure the knuckle too and take the larger of the two.

If the size is wrong

Your first resize within 30 days of delivery is free, including shipping both ways. Some designs — full eternity bands, channel-set and pavé pieces — cannot be resized, and we say so clearly on the product page.
